    • Position Summary
    • Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position(s) available in the English department.

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after November 1, 2026 and ending on or before May 22, 2027.  Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist with communication and greeting visitors; assist with telephone inquiries and route to the appropriate person; take messages.
      • Assist in retrieving and sort incoming mail and distribute appropriately; make on campus deliveries.
      • Assist in basic troubleshooting with technology (printers, computers, copy machines, etc.).
      • Assist in maintaining office supplies inventory.
      • Other duties & projects as assigned.

       

    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Familiarity with basic office equipment, including copiers, scanners, and printers.
      • Good customer service and telephone etiquette skills.
      • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software and Microsoft Teams.
      • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Availability to work scheduled hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
      • Basic familiarity with social media platforms, including Instagram.
      • Interest in communications, digital media, publishing, marketing, literature, or the arts.
      • Coursework or experience in English, business, marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
    • Salary Range
    • $17.00 per hour.
