Reporting to the Director of New Student and Family Programs, the Administrative Support Coordinator will support the mission of New Student and Family Programs by assisting with administrative duties that support orientation, transition, and campus connection programs for both students and family members.
Assistant Director of New Student and Family Programs San José
Reporting to the Director of New Student and Family Programs, the Assistant Director coordinates the mandatory SJSU new student orientation program for incoming frosh and transfer students, and supports Parent & Family Orientation. The incumbent is responsible for campus policy and procedure articulation and easily navigated, student-learning focused transition from acceptance through matriculation. Guided by the CAS standards, the incumbent supports the transition process as it relates to yield programs including Admitted Spartan Day, Fall Preview Days, and off-site yield events.

Responsibilities include managing daily custodial services, supporting special events, emergencies, and after-hours needs, and assisting with shift coverage. The manager ensures efficient, cost-effective services, oversees personnel, monitors contracted services, and implements quality assurance programs. In the absence of the administrator, the Crew Manager may assume operational management of the Custodial Services Unit or part of it.
