Employment Compliance and Training Analyst (SJSU ONLY)

Job Summary

*This position is open to current SJSU employees only.*  

Reporting to the Manager, Employment Authorization and Compliance Services, this position is the primary campus administrator for all required employee compliance training via CSU’s online training system (CSU Learn), including reporting, managing enrollment, and troubleshooting issues. The incumbent is also responsible for managing the Outside Employment process for all Management (MPP) employees. This position works independently and is responsible for keeping up to date with Federal and States laws/regulations and CSU/SJSU policies regarding I-9 and other employment authorization requirements and providing pertinent information to University constituents including within University Personnel. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and maintaining intradepartmental workflows as well as facilitating interdepartmental workflows. This position also provides administrative support/customer service duties, as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional training program specific to the position and directly related work experience, or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Two years of administrative work experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • Three years of full-time, progressively responsible administrative support experience
  • Experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) systems and analyzing and interpreting data using SQL

 

Compensation

Classification: Confidential Administrative Support II
Anticipated Hiring Range: $6,300/month - $6,667/month
CSU Salary Range: $4,464/month - $10,689/month

Additional Information

Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. SJSU will issue a contingent offer of employment to the selected candidate, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Campus Security Authority - In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) and CSU systemwide policy, this position is subject to ongoing review for designation as a Campus Security Authority.
